What Christ would say ... today
A prayer for you, from someone like you:
Dearest Father Mother God, I acknowledge that I am Your child.
I bow before You today and surrender my will to Yours. I love You. I want to love You in the way that pleases You most. I want to be steadfast and True. I accept all that You have in store for me, and the tasks you have set for me.
My humble prayer is to hold You in my heart, until I join with You and come Home, in accord with the will of the Highest Good. Amen
Do you like this prayer from someone who simply loves God?
I do.
There are ministers out there who say: you are entitled to ask God for anything you want. I say, it is better to ask God for what God wants for you.
For some people, their prayers are a list of worldly desires. For others, prayer focuses on what they want in their life in a particular way, in their work, their relationships, the problems they face, and so on. I understand that.
Yet, how many people simply declare their love for God when they pray? How many people simply ask for the Will of the True God to be done in their life, in them, and through them, to others?
How many people say a prayer to simply do what is right with God, to do what is right in God's eyes?
How many people want to know the Will of God in their lives, rather than telling God what they want and asking for their will to be done?
Do you know more about relationships than the True God? You must always put God first, and find the Love of God in your heart, first, before you seek "answers" in your relationships. The same for the work you do in the world. Do not merely be a part of some larger system or organization — or ask for "success" from God — without bothering to ask God if it is right for you, or if the purpose or organization you are serving serves God.
It is such a simple prayer to ask to simply be of service to God in your life. How many people pray for that?
It requires both an acknowledgement of who you are in God, and who God is in you, as well as bowing to God's Will. This means having humility rather than an egotistical arrogance to tell God to give you everything you want.
Do you have that much faith and love of Father-Mother God to know that God only wants what is best for you, even if you don't know what that truly is?
Every choice in life comes down to this: do you want God and Christ to lead your life, or do you want to "go it alone"? Those who go through life without ever really asking for God's wisdom, God's love, or God's peace within them, ask for things to try to fill a lack in them that they really need God to fill.
Finally, remember that God has the larger perspective and the Truth and the Love and compassion for all the children of Light. God wants what is best for all of them, not just you. And in this world, the extent to which your worldly desires are fulfilled is not a measure of God's Love, or even of your "success."
God wishes to bring Home all the children of Light, to an Eternal Life, free from all darkness and evil and wrong.
Seek to accept God's Will, and align yourself with it. Because it is the Highest Good of all.
In the name of Christ Jesus, this is so.
