The Way
When we cannot find our way, or cannot see beyond our problems, what is missing is: the Light. There is a Light which shines on our way; which reveals what is right, good, and true for us; which leads us in the direction of the Highest Good. We know that as Christ.
There is a right Way to live. Ask yourself, what serves the Highest Good? Listen to your heart, your true inner being, the Truth and Light of conscience within you, the Love of the divine. That is your Way, your true path through a world of illusions, deceit, and confusion. That doesn't mean listen to your emotions, your ego, or your social conditioning. You have to get past all of those, in order to come closer to the Truth; those influences only block, distort, or confuse the Truth, in you.
There is a way to turn within, to find your Truth and Way. It is the simplest thing. You just have to look inside you, and not be looking outside you. Simple isn't it? But, it takes practice, because everything in the outer world demands that you keep your attention on everything outside of you. The process of centering yourself means quietly sitting with your eyes closed, and letting the rush of the world go by you. It means not letting the incessant will of the world, or anything or anyone outside you, determine your Way. It means learning how to be objective, to see things as they truly are. It is coming closer to Reality, Truth, and the Light within you. It is a way to learn to live your life from the inner spirit, the true spiritual inner being, from a place of conscience, remaining open to the gentle guiding spirit or inspiration of the Divine.
Let God make a Way for you. Let go of what the world demands of you or pressures you to do. And quietly realize what is right, good, and true within you.
This is the Way that Jesus lived and taught
It is Jesus's promise to walk with you. This is your spiritual lifeline in a world of deception, illusions, falsehood, abuse, and corruption. This is a Way to know the Truth and live in the Light. And you must find it within you.
True meditation, true prayer, communion, and centering yourself are much the same process. They are all the simple closing of the eyes and turning within, as a means of withdrawing from the oppressive influence of the outer world. They are all best accomplished by realizing that what you are really looking for inside you is the Presence of God, the Light, the Peace, the Love, the Truth, and the Way. For people who are not "religious," know that it doesn't matter if you have ever believed in God; if you are a good person in your heart, if you wish good above everything else, just know that it is there for you. Seek and you will find.
God's grace and perception, love, or care for you, are not a matter of evangelism or works in the world, or how many times you utter a name. Perhaps you can see that people do not somehow "merit" God, or God's Presence, by a hypocritical, egotistical attitude or self-aggrandizing "works." Realize, God finds little place in those who are filled with ego. So, if you have little ego, or low-self-esteem, do not feel unworthy of God. You are closer to God, and God is closer to you, than you think.
God only cares about what is in your heart, not anything of the outer world, not your education, not your ability to recite chapter and verse, not your position or title in the church, not anything of the outer world. You do not need a lot of illusions about yourself, or to develop a big ego. Just be simple and honest with your self. If you are a Good spiritual being, it is enough that God sees you that way.
The Way to put God first is to make space for God in your life, in you
Spend time daily quietly turning within, sitting with your eyes closed, basically waiting upon God, whether you call it meditation, centering, or prayer. There is not a whole lot you have to do from your side. In fact, the less you try to do, often, the better. It is a time to relax, unwind, center, meditate, or pray. If you have a hard time just sitting quietly for ten to twenty minutes, then you might wish to put on some soft music, something you can relax with. You may find that this time allows you to get a better perspective on things that may be stressing you. You may see them for what they are, afterwards. Simply, quietly, sit in one place, and let the world go by. If you quietly spend time in this Way, you will come closer to the Truth and the Light. You are the one that has to make time and space for God.
When you see what is right, do it; when you see what is wrong, refrain from doing it. Could it be more simple and true than that? Let the Light of conscience within you be your guide. You cannot take anything of the outer world as your measure of what is right. Wrong is often more common than right, especially if you look to other people for how you should think or behave. Just keep looking within you, and you will come closer to the Truth and the Light, step by step, little by little. Whenever you feel a bit more inner peace, or a bit less troubled, a bit surer of what you know to be right, a bit less troubled, a bit clearer about what you need to do, a bit stronger in doing what is right or rejecting what is wrong, a bit clearer, a bit brighter, that shows you are going in the right direction.
The Way, your way, is individual for each one of us; no two paths are the same
No two people have exactly the same level of awareness or consciousness, the same understanding, the same perceptions, the same purpose, or the same path to follow. No one is exactly where you are, in your shoes, needing to take the next step that you need to take. No one. No one can tell you how to step, when to step, if you should step, or where you should step. No one. If you relied upon anyone — and that means anyone — to do that for you, you could not even walk. So, how can you do your spiritual walk that way. You can not. You have to, sooner or later, come to the realization that your Way is within you. You have to find what is right, good, and true, within you, for your self, and choose it at each and every moment. That is how you find your Way in the world. God, Christ, Jesus will show you the Way. Be aware; pay attention to God.
No matter how hard life may be, God will make a way for you. You are not alone. With Jesus in your heart, Christ can lead you. If there is much darkness, wait for God to shine a light to reveal the best way forward. Don't get ahead of yourself or God; God leads, you follow.
God has a way, a path, and a timing for all things. You follow your own true path by the choices you make to stay in the Light, to live in the Light, to step out of the darkness. The Way is a path of truth: acknowledge, accept, and align with the greater Truth, within you. Honor the truth. The Way is a path of Peace, Power, Love, and divine Good. Accept that blessing. Remember, you are walking with Jesus, who will make a Way for you, always.
"Walk in Peace. Walk in Love. Walk in Truth. Walk in Purity."
God and Christ are with you, now, to help you on your Way.
Go with God.
