Completion
What do we need to hold on to, and what do we need to let go of? What is serving us, and what is only holding us back? What is undone, or still left to do? What might never be done?
What does it mean to feel "complete"?
There is a great deal you could disburden yourself with, unload, put aside, clear out, let go of, or get past. It comes down to a choice you make.
People find, when they have Jesus in their heart, that they feel complete
It doesn't mean their life is over, or it is the end; but rather, they feel a sense of completion wherever they are on their path — even if they feel that they are just beginning their journey with Jesus.
The past gets resolved in some way, such that you can let go of it. You can let go of worry, doubt, fear, anxiety, anger, desire, selfishness, lust, greed, and useless ambition. You can simply live from a place of Peace, Truth, Love, and Light, within you. And you can do that at each and every moment of your life. You do not have to wait till the end to try to find those truer qualities of existence. You can experience those truer, more fulfilling qualities of life, here, now.
You have a chance to break free from the world. You have a chance to simply be more aware, to realize who God is in you and who you are in God. You can learn to choose what is really right, good, and true to you.
You lose nothing and gain everything by freeing yourself from the traps and illusions of this world while you are yet here. It is the path from suffering to Freedom, from illusions to Truth, and out of darkness into the Light.
It is Jesus, Christ, God leading you.
Money, sex, drugs, alcohol, power, materialism, programming and indoctrination — all of these are just traps that can increase suffering and exploitation, even though they may make you erroneously "feel" good about being in your traps in life.
Take an inventory of your life. And see what is really important to you, and what is not, what is essential and what is not, what you need and what you do not. Look at what you can let go of, what you need to let go of.
Knowing God in your heart, you can learn to heal the past, let go of the past, and complete the past
One of the most important things to let go of is resentment. Resentment is a commitment — a choice you make — to hold on to the wrongs of the past. It is not right to hold on to wrong. You can never find Peace by continuing to relive past errors, injustices, troubles, indignities, abuses, or traumas. You have to learn how to find a larger perspective which will allow you to heal, to be free, here, now.
If you think that by holding on to what hurt you, you are somehow dealing with it, you have fallen for a lie. You are still ruled by what you hope to get free from.
Maybe you already have your mind made up about everything, and find it hard (or unnecessary) to change. Maybe you feel that you are "just that way," and don't feel any impetus to change. The desire or will to change has to come from you; it cannot come from outside you. We can't tell you what is right, good, and true for you. It is your path, your journey, and your destination. It is your choice, every step of the way.
Consider whether you have a commitment to Truth, or whether you have more of a commitment to your ego, emotions, desires, and illusions. Realize that is the choice you are making, and look at where it is getting you — or, perhaps, keeping you stuck.
What would it be like to be free now, to truly feel free? As you think of how wonderful that might feel, you may begin to perceive the traps, and see how to reject their erroneous control in your life.
Wouldn't you rather have Jesus, Christ, God in control of your life?
Are you following a given path in life, hoping you will feel a certain way when you "get there," but missing finding that feeling all along the way?
Completion means finding what you truly want and need, here, now. It doesn't it is the end. It just means you are able to go forward, freely. It means you can find greater meaning, purpose, value, and perspective on where you are going. And, it means you do not need to deny the true, higher, spiritual values of life now and mistakenly hope to find them somewhere down the road, later.
Any choices you make to remain trapped in problems, which you have accepted or rationalized rather than rejected, will not prove to be of much value in the end. Do not sacrifice what truly matters — love, peace, inner joy, and harmony — for what matters not.
Long ago, Marcus Aurelius Antoninus said, "Thou wilt find rest from vain fancies if thou doest every act in life as though it were thy last."
Think about what would it mean to you if you were to live each day as if it were your last. Really think about that. It will reveal your priorities to you. It will clearly show you what is driving you. A materialistic, hedonistic, selfish, or egotistical person would feel compelled to seek immediate gratification, pleasure. A true spiritual being would want to get right with God, to find a place of Peace, Love, Truth, and Light, within them. Realize, people already live that way; they already make that choice, at each and every moment of their lives. What choice do you wish to make? And what destination do you have in mind, when you really do reach the end of your journey?
It is a much better choice to be aware, to think for your self, to confront the things that keep you stuck, and get free. That is what completion is all about, mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. It comes down to a choice you make, to not only have Jesus in your heart, but to truly let him lead.
Realize, your life is not completely under your control, and never will be, as long as you dwell in this world. But it can be under Jesus's "control" — you can be "done" with this world by learning to be in the world but not of the world.
