Clarity
"To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour."
— William Blake
Clarity is a simple state of awareness, a pure awareness, in which it is easier to see, understand, realize, or express the truth of things. It is simplicity itself, made manifest in our everyday experience.
Awareness is the key to consciousness, choice, and a path of action.
Clarity sometimes arises from a more in depth investigation into an area or subject, but, more often than not, it just seems to happen. We don't control it as much as we simply open to it. And this requires us to not needlessly complicate things in our lives.
There is a simpler, clearer, more insightful solution to problems, to decisions we need to make, and to how we perceive things
Once you have experienced clarity — your "aha" moment — you will look for it again, wherever you can. That doesn't mean you sit around waiting for an "aha" experience, but rather, when you know what it is, you remain open to it all the time. And it comes when it comes.
Some people think of this as intuition. That is a part of it. Intuition is a result of that simple, pure state of awareness. It arises in that pure awareness, as if from the depths of our being. But clarity is more that that. It shapes how we perceive and interpret everything we may experience. And it contributes understanding, ease, and facility in dealing with everything.
For those who know Jesus, who have Jesus in their heart, this simplicity of awareness is profound. It is not overly simplistic. It is not somehow minimizing our awareness so that we assume "it's all good." No, with clarity we actually see and know what is right, good, and true, for ourselves. Without needing all of the "authorities" in our lives to tell us what they want us to believe is right, good, or true, and very often is not.
Clarity, like truth, cannot always be shared with others
It may become a very significant part of your own life experience, but others who do not share the experience simply do not know what you know, or how you know it, or what you see, or how you see things. In fact, since clarity is rare in most people, you can be sure that most people will have a nearly opposite perspective as you. People are ruled by their programming, indoctrination, dogma, and the mandates of all the corrupt authorities. And so they have no room for simple awareness. It is overshadowed and shaped by all forces outside them.
What's the difference between clarity and the still, small voice within us? How is it different from the presence of Jesus in our heart?
You have your own awareness, your own consciousness, which is greatly added to by the presence of Jesus in your heart. But, God, Christ, Jesus does not simply override your own ability to perceive, to learn, to understand, to make choices, or to "pick your battles." Jesus works with you. God is working for you. And then there is still you. You need to work for yourself, too. It begins with your own awareness, seeking greater clarity, and not settling for the mundane, the popular, the social indoctrination, the current trend or mood. It puts your own perceptions and awareness above the demands of your society or group, so that you remain responsible for the choices, decisions, and actions you take. With more clarity.
Practice noticing the times when you have more clarity, when things make sense, perhaps in a new way.
Value those momentary or longer experiences. Remind yourself that they come from your relationship with Jesus, Christ, God. You are being supported within your self, on the most fundamental level of your own awareness and being.
Clarity necessarily involves truth, light, goodness, and a greater consciousness. Be thankful for it as it continues to develop, and by your attention and appreciation, it will grow.
God is with you. Jesus is in your heart. Notice that, and affirm it, often.
